For breakfast you can choose from our delightful buffet alongside our traditional Cumbrian breakfast which will certainly keep you going until lunchtime, whether you are sightseeing for the day or climbing to the top of the Old Man of Coniston.

And for those of you looking to stride out for the day over the Cumbrian Fells, we can also arrange packed lunches for you with notice to help keep you going.
A dinner to look forward to
We regularly alter and update our dinner menus to add a little spice and variety into our evening meal. And with starters ranging from avacado and warm bacon salad through sesame crusted grilled halloumi to cream of leek and potato soup we are sure we can capture your imagingation. Our main courses again are designed to delight your tastebuds. Our salmon and prawn fish pie is a constant Old Rectory hit and our braised steak is now a regular request.
Our wide selection of puddings finish the evening off perfectly and for those of you who prefer something savoury there is the choice of our cheese board. Tea or coffee with after dinner mints can be taken in the dining room or in the lounge and if the Coniston weather is kind, also on the terrace too.
